Futsal4Kidz rules
Understanding and adhering to the rules is crucial for a positive and enriching experience at Futsal4Kidz. These rules are designed to ensure fair play, safety, and fun for all participants.

Team format & game play rules
Team Format:
4 outfield players + 1 goalkeeper
4v4 for elementary gyms, 5v5 for larger ones
Game Play:
No throw-ins: use kick-ins (indirect, within 4 seconds)
No offsides
Substitutions anytime via the bench area
1 timeout per half per team
Restart from the goalkeeper (no goal kicks)

Fouls & discipline
Accumulated fouls tracked each half; 5+ = penalty kick
Yellow card = 2 min out, team plays short
Red card = rest of game out, team down a player for 5 min

Goalkeeper rules
Cannot hold the ball over 4 seconds
Cannot touch the ball again in their half until it has been played by another player or goes out
Can score with feet, not by throw unless another player touches it

Equipment & safety
Shin pads required
Indoor gym shoes only
No jewelry or gum
Glasses not recommended unless protective gear is used

Hosting schools must
Provide ball, scoreboard, scoresheet, and volunteers
Host games and update results
